To the Chinese, the colour purple is often described as an intensified iteration of red, famously depicted in the Chinese idiom “so red that it turns purple”, and is often thought of as “even more auspicious than the colour red.”
This Stupa features the Wealth Amulet, the Wish Granting Mantra, and a pair of Snow Lions for protection against negative energies, obstacles and malevolent spirits, with “Om Mani Padme Hum”, the mantra of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, inscribed on the base.
